Computer Science PhD student Yuichi Fujiki (advisor: Prof. Ioannis Pavlidis) from the Computational Physiology Lab won the 2010 Graduate Research Competition in the ACM CHI 2010 Conference. CHI is the premium and highly selective forum in Human-Computer Interaction. The winning paper, 鈥渋Phone as a physical activity measurement platform鈥 is part of Yuichi鈥檚 PhD work. It describes the technology behind the 鈥淲alk n Play鈥 application that the Computational Physiology Lab released in the App Store about a year ago. It is currently used by thousands of people around the world. Congratulations!
