UH is a great location for research-based, early-stage startups looking to connect to university resources that may be needed to help new companies survive the valley of death and market new technologies and services. The UH Innovation Center and Labs is home to more than 20 startup companies, 75 percent of which are companies from outside of UH. Click the companies logo to find out more about UH startups.

UH is also home to several established companies looking to expand into the Houston and be part of a local innovation community. Access to students, courses and tech transfer resources are some of the many reasons companies choose UH鈥檚 Technology Bridge.

Happenings

UH sponsors or hosts more than 100 innovation events a year at the Technology Bridge, including those put on by companies in our community. We understand the importance of these activities to the Houston innovation community and proudly partner with other organizations to make these activities a success.

  • The 探花视频 Technology Bridge and the 探花视频 Texas Gulf Coast Small Business Development Center have announced a new partnership to support innovation and early-tech startups in the Gulf Coast region.

  • Investor Open House at UH's Technology Bridge

    On Tuesday, November 12th, UH鈥檚 Technology Bridge held an Investor Open House to encourage business relationships between investors and UH-based startups.
  • The device is the first of its kind and will support the mission of a new industry-supported research consortium at UH.

  • Dow Chemical and UH Research Look To Collaborate

    On Thursday, May 23rd, Dow Chemical representatives visited UH鈥檚 Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
