2025 in Argentina: Sustainability and Policy in the Energy Transition
This year鈥檚 Argentina Learning Abroad Program offered students a 2-week immersive experience focused on one of the most urgent global challenges: the transition to sustainable energy.
Students explored Argentina鈥檚 energy systems from the ground up鈥攙isiting natural gas extraction sites, renewable energy facilities, and community-scale sustainability projects. They engaged with industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and local communities, gaining a 360掳 view of how energy, economics, and society intersect.
鈥淭he most impactful aspect was observing how energy systems are integrated across technical, economic, and social domains in Argentina. Seeing the full chain鈥攆rom Vaca Muerta to community solar鈥攈ighlighted the complexity of energy transition in a real-world setting.鈥
