Texas Finalizes $1.8 Billion for Microgrid Program to Boost Critical Infrastructure Resilience

Texas has approved $1.8 billion for a new microgrid program to boost backup power at critical sites such as hospitals, water systems, and emergency services. The Texas Backup Power Package Program will deploy on-site systems combining solar, batteries, and gas generation, offering a faster, more flexible alternative to large-scale plants. As traditional grid projects face delays, this marks a strategic shift toward distributed resilience amid rising demand and increasingly frequent extreme weather.

Innovation and New Business Incubation at the 探花视频's Technology Bridge is on a Roll

HOUSTON鈥橲 INNOVATION EPICENTER

In a move central to the 探花视频鈥檚 ethos, strategic priorities and vision as a top 50 public research institution UH will launch an in the center of campus, becoming the city鈥檚 epicenter for a thriving innovation ecosystem.

The 探花视频 will construct a new hub for innovation on its main campus. The building is planned to be adjacent to the M.D. Anderson Library.
